Macedonian pop diva Kaliopi is set to return to the Eurovision Song Contest!
The singer, who last represented Macedonia in the Eurovision 2012, will perform a song written by her ex husband Romeo Grill, the author of her entry “Crno i belo” (“Black and white”).
Kaliopi is the biggest female pop star in Macedonia. She was chosen as her country’s debut representative in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996. However, she failed to qualify to the final from a pre-selection round held prior to the final. In 2012 she placed 13th in the Grand Final in Baku, scoring 71 points.
Macedonian national broadcaster MRTV announced that Kaliopi will present her entry for Stockholm in a television special to be aired at the end of february.
The song will be composed by Romeo Grill.
